Tom Lehman was born in Austin Minnesota on March 1959. He began playing golf at a very early age and it took him many years to become a leading tour professional, he was then obliged to play elsewhere for the following 6 seasons .Tom Lehman received his education from The University Of Minnesota and graduates with a degree of business / accounting. He turned down professional in 1982.He had played for the PGA Tour with very little success for almost 10 years. He regained his PGA Tour by playing and topping Ben Hogans’ Tour’s 1991 money list and had enjoyed unbroken membership.

He has the PGA Tour victories; Tom Lehman was named the PGA Tour player of the year in the year of 1996. In 1996 he also won the major championship for the Open Championship. Tom Lehman won atleast 19 professional events in total. Lehman was also the captain of the defeated United States 2006 Ryder cup.He became the 13th champion s tour player to win his debut tournament.
