Vince Carter – A Versatile Player

Vince Carter is a professional basketball player from the United States of America currently plying his trade with the Phoenix Suns in the National Basketball Association or the NBA.

Carter is a highly versatile player who can play either as a shooting guard or as a small forward and it is this versatility that had earned him 8 consecutive entries into the All Star team of the NBA between 2000 and 2007. Vince Carter is a former McDonald’s All American; a feat achieved while he was in high school and played collegiate basketball for the University of North Carolina.

He was the number 5 Draft pick at the NBA Drafts of 1998 where he was picked up by the Golden State Warriors who then traded his rights to the Toronto Raptors where he played till 2004. After that, he joined the New Jersey Nets and he had the best phase of his career during this time in terms of achievements for the team.

Vince Carter was the NBA Slam Dunk champion in 2000 and he has also won several other individual awards, but the big one that is still missing from his trophy cabinet is the NBA championship pennant for which he signed with the Suns.
