Vernon Wells – The Blue Jays MVP: Vernon Wells is a professional baseball player currently plying his trade with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the Major League Baseball and plays at center field.

Wells debuted in the Major League with the Toronto Blue Jays in 1999 and began to make an immediate impact on the field for the team and in the 11 years that he played for the Blue Jays, he ended up having the second best record for the team in terms of the number of home runs, hits, RBIs, doubles, total bases as well as runs.

Vernon Wells has a career batting average of .275 and he has hit 240 home runs, has 1,610 hits, 98 stolen bases and has batted in 859 runs. Wells has so far made the All Star team of the Major League on three occasions, has won three Gold Glove Awards, has been voted the Most Valuable Player for the Toronto Blue Jays on three occasions and also has a Silver Slugger Award.

With the Blue Jays, Vernon Wells spent the best part of his career but due to his ambition of winning the League pennants, he traded the team for the Anaheim Angels prior to the 2011 season.
