Venus Williams – A Tennis Legend: Venus Williams was born on 17th June in the year 1980. She took birth in Lynwood which is situated in California. Among five daughters of her parents Venus Williams is the second youngest. Initially her family stayed in Compton. Later they shifted to West Palm Beach. At that time Venus was only 10 years old. There was only intention of shifting their house. The family shifted so that Rick Macci tennis academy could be attended by Venus Williams and her younger sister Serena Williams. Additional coaching of tennis was also offered to Venus. Her father did not allow Venus to attend tournaments when she was a kid. At that time there were racial problems going on and discrimination between whites and the blacks was present. He father’s motto was to keep her daughters away from these stuffs and help them to concentrate on the particular game of tennis. From childhood Venus Williams was very much attracted towards the game of tennis and was a very skilful player. It was clear that this kid would grow up to a world champion one day. As expected before, Venus Williams got the number one crown on 25th February in the year 2002, for the first time and continued in there other occasions. Moreover Venus Williams had a great tennis career throughout professional tennis career. She achieved many titles and won several tournaments both in singles and doubles.
