Philadelphia Eagles team bio

Philadelphia Eagles is the name of a team that plays American football at a professional level. The team is from the city of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. The team has a membership with the Conference of National Football’s East Division in the League of National Football or the NFL. Philadelphia Eagles have been the winners of three titles of the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles have appeared in the Super Bowl twice. However, they had lost in both the occasions. First, Oakland Raiders defeated them in the year of 1980 and then they lost to Patriots of New England in the year of 2005. it was in the year of 1933 that the club got itself established. The Yellow Jackets of Frankford were bankrupt. Philadelphia Eagles was a replacement team after Bert Bell, the future commissioner of NFL, led a syndicate and purchased all the rights of the franchise of Philadelphia.

Blue Eagle was a symbol that was used for New Deal program of stimulus that was initiated at the tome of Great Depression. Philadelphia Eagles was named after this symbol. There are a number of players in Philadelphia Eagles who have their names in the Hall of Fame of Pro Football like Bob Brown, Pete Pihos, Reggie White and many more.
