Valerie Brisco Hooks – An Olympic Sensation

Valerie Brisco Hooks – An Olympic Sensation: Valerie Brisco Hooks was born on 6th July in the year 1960. She took birth in Greenwood which is situated in Mississippi. Her full name was Valerie Ann Brisco Hooks. She was a great athlete of her time. Since childhood Valerie Brisco Hooks was attracted towards sports. In her career Valerie Brisco Hooks was successful in winning three gold medals in Olympics. In the Olympic of 1984 which was held in Los Angeles, she became the first athlete to win both gold medals in 400meter and 200 meter races in single Olympic. She also achieved another gold medal in 4x 400m category. In the Olympic of 1988, which was held in Seoul, Valerie took part in the tournament. In this particular Olympic, she failed to win a gold medal. She was in the 4x400 meter relay race team. This particular team was successful in finishing in the second place in that particular event. After the 1984 Olympic, Valerie Brisco Hooks did not have a consistent career. Slowly she lost her concentration from the particular sport and started losing her form. This made an impression in her career. Moreover during her early days of her athlete career, she was very consistent with her form. After retiring from the particular sport she was into coaching. Presently, Valerie Brisco Hooks coaches with Bob Kersee, which is a group of athletes.
