Vladimir Guerrero

Vladimir Guerrero - the Search to be the World Champion: Vladimir Guerrero is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic who currently plies his trade with the Baltimore Orioles of the Major League Baseball and is their designated hitter. Guerrero began his career with the Montreal Expos in 1996, a team for which he played till the end of the 2003 season before signing with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in 2004. While with the Angels, Vladimir Guerrero became the Most Valuable Player in the American League. It is with the Angels that he has had the most successful phase of his career, leading the team to a total of 5 championships in the Western Division of the American League in his 6 years with the team. Vladimir Guerrero has also won 8 Silver Slugger Awards and has been named into the All Star team of the Major League on 9 occasions. He also has 6 Player of the Month Awards to his name. in 2010, Guerrero joined the Texas Rangers and played with the team for only one season before signing for the Orioles before the start of the 2011 season in his search for the elusive World Series title and American League pennant that still elude him.
